·  2.30pm, 10,000 metres Track Walk (mixed)

·  6:15 pm, 10,000 metres ‘B’ race (mixed)

·  7:30 pm, Elite Womens NZ 10,000m Championships AND ‘A’ race (mixed).
                   Note these are a combined race this year due to a small number of Elite Women entrants.
                       This has been approved by Athletics NZ. 

·  8:15 pm, Junior Womens (U20) 5,00

·  8:45 pm, Elite Men’s 10,000 metres NZ Championship Race

• Grades will be Masters, Seniors, Men 20 and Women 20

• This event Includes the 2023 Athletics New Zealand 10000 metres Championships for Men, Women

NZ’s biggest 10,000m event – The Wellington 10,000m Festival is the most popular set of 10,000m races in New Zealand. For the last five years, this has been a night of PBs for athletes of all speeds — 40 percent of athletes finished with a best new time.

As always, we will host a number of 10,000m races, and all will have packs of many different speeds to drag you to your new PB. Races are open to men and women of all age grades.

Schedule

NB: Athletics Wellington 10000 metres Championships will be conducted in conjunction with this event

• The Event will have pacers for all World Cross Country qualifying times,
  • Senior Men and Senior Women, Junior Men and Junior Women (5000m)
  • In addition, there will be pacers for all common target times. 

Seeding for the respective races will occur when entries close (6pm Wednesday, 15 November)
