There is a lot a fun and satisfaction in being an official at athletics events. It is great seeing athletes in action up close, and satisfying to know that you have helped to ensure that the competition is held in accordance with best practice. Athletics competitions and races can only take place when there are enough helpers and officials to make it happen.
There are opportunities to help out at track and field events held in a stadium, and also for “out of stadia” events such as cross-country races and road races. However, we need the most numbers of helpers and officials for track and field competition.
