Amended AWJC_Interclub5 2022_23 programme
In response to feedback, the programme has been amended by the addition of a new “Round 0” of 800m races, at the start of the programme, from 10:00am. We will aim to get through these races in no more than 30 minutes, so this will mean combining some grades. To help us with planning, please ask parents of Grade 10-15 athletes interested in competing in an 800m race to fill in an Expression of Interest at this link, by Thursday evening: https://forms.gle/k2pRyqgS45qra3vy9
I have attached the amended event programme. Please update all your club members. We expect that Round 1 of the track programme will commence from 10:30am.
The Interclub 5 event programme includes the ever-popular steeplechase and water jump :). The long range weather forecast looks good, so please ask parents to bring a towel and a change of clothes for their athletes !!. Please remind parents to bring the athlete’s age-flash, and to turn up in plenty of time. There is significant construction activity around the Newtown Park stadium at present and this has reduced access and parking. Parents will need to allow extra time to find a park and get into the stadium.
