Registrations close 3rd Jan 2025 at midday unless we reach capped numbers prior. And no entries on the day.
Note: Competitor numbers will be capped and will be based on first-in-first served entries. So get in early!
COST: $10 per event
PRIZES: Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each event.
General Information:
FRIDAY START TIME: 3PM (welcoming, athlete check-in & warm-up time), followed by first event at 4.00PM (Discus)
SATURDAY START TIME: 10AM (brief intro, athlete check-in & warm-up time), followed by first event at 10.30am
VENUE: Sola Power Throwing Academy, Cnr Whites Line East and Randwick Road, Lower Hutt
EVENTS: Men’s/Women’s: Discus, Hammer, Shot Put and Javelin.FRIDAY PROGRAMME:(approx. times only – it may vary slightly on the day)
3.00pm – athlete check in & warm up, plus welcoming
4.00pm: Discus (W)
6.00pm: Discus (M)

10.30am: Shot Put (W)

12.00pm: Javelin (W)
1.00pm: Shot Put (M)

PLEASE NOTE:
1. Event will be sanctioned and official results recorded
2. Competition is for 14 years upwards (as at day of competition in January)
3. Categories are; U16, U18, U20, Senior/Open and Masters. (Based on your age at 31st Dec 2025).
E.g. U16s should be 14 or 15 years old on the 31st Dec 2025.
4. Everyone will get 3 throws, then top 8 is based on furthest throw, regardless of implement weight or age group. Top 8 will receive an extra 3 throws.
