Tributes for Athletics Wellington Coach
This week many in the local community have paid tribute to the loss last weekend of one of Wellington’s highly respected coaches and teachers, Neville Paul. Neville has been an integral part of the community for over 30 years and fostered athletics careers of many young men in particular during is tenure at Wellington College where he was known throughout by the secondary school athletics community for his fine Wellington College team performances on track and cross country.
Sadly Neville passed away when about to return from the New Zealand Cross Country in Christchurch last weekend where he had been supporting amongst others one of his up and coming premier young athletes in Joe Martin.
Neville returned to teaching more recently from semi retirement to teach at Rongotai College.
