Further Strong Performances by Wellington Masters at World Masters Athletics Championships
In wrapping up their World Masters Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, in week 2, there were some more excellent age grade performances by the Wellington contingent of athletes competing in Gothenburg, lead by Jacqueline Wilson [Trentham United] with a bronze W75 20km Race Walk 2 hours 27.00, and 4th place finish in the W75 5000m Race Walk 35min 14sec.
Peter Stevens [Scottish], followed up his excellent steeplechase victory last week with very creditable 4th place in the M60 1500m final after qualifying in 7th place in a time of 4min 33sec.
