COVID ALERT Level 3 Updates
Athletics Wellington wish to confirm several updates and reminders for sport at level 3

Some of you will be aware of the growing number of event changes to local and national calendar which are summarised below. We also advised current status of access to Newtown Park under level 3

Newtown Park Athletics Stadium
Wellington City Council have enabled the stadium to be accessed by individuals who maintain strict Covid Alert Level 3 Public Health Protocols for your workouts and exercise. We remind you this must only be within your OWN bubble. The Council will control the gate access for use with a separate key  under level. 3. The stadium gate will be open from
>>> Monday – Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm
>>> Saturday & Sunday 8.00am to 4.30pm

EVENT UPDATES  

Athletics NZ Road Championships and Club Connect Conference in Hamilton
– now rescheduled for 6 & 7 November

Athletics Wellington Road Championships
Now rescheduled for Saturday 18 September as advised previously

Athletics Wellington Road Walking Championships
As advised previously the event is CANCELLED. An event review will be made for possible rescheduling at a later date

Hutt Marathon – Hutt
Now rescheduled to Sunday 28 September, from 12 September

New Zealand Road Relay Championships – Christchurch, 2 October 2021
Currently still scheduled to go ahead in Christchurch provided Canterbury region is at at Alert level 1

New Zealand Secondary Schools Track, Field and Road Championships and Athletics NZ U16/U18 Championships – Inglewood

  • Rescheduled from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 December 2021 due to the NCEA examinations for secondary school students being rescheduled by two weeks to end on 14 December
