2026 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow GBR –  July      

  • James Preston – Scottish (800m),
    James ran his season best of 1:45.07 at the Adelaide Classic in mid-march after his national Championships win in 1.46.58 ana 1.46.38 at the Marri Plant in Melbourne. In the last week in the has opened his European campaign with 1.51.72 in Marseille and 3 day later a 1.47.86 in Nice as he heads to his  first Commonwealth Games
  • Samasoni Hewitt – Upper Hutt (High Jump)  has been named for teh Cook Islands team 

 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships , Copenhagen, DEN – September

  • Toby Gualter – Olympic (Half Marathon)

Tony has continued his fine form with winning the Dorne Cup in emphatic style on Saturday . Toby cemented his place by winning the NZ Half marathon in Christchurch in 63.15 one week prior to taking out the NZ Mt Run Championships

  • Alison Andrews Paul – Athletics Wairarapa (Road Mile)
    Since her 2.01. 38 World Indoor performances last week ran 2:02.33  at the Adrian Martinez Classic at Concord USA,  and previously the week prior clocked   a 1500m 4:17.66 at Bob Vigars Classic, London, CAN  with a 2:02.44 at the  Desert Heat Classic Tucson USA on 2nd May

2026 World Athletics Under 20  Championships – Eugene,  USA   August

  • Joe Martin Scottish (800m)
    Joe was was named in the first team selection
  • Poppy Healy former Athletics Wellington member recently added to the 800m with final team announcement

Will Anthony  ran 10,000m 28:52.96 (9H1) at the NCAA Div 1 East finals in Lexington, Kentucky and Will then placed 19th in the NCAA Championships final running 28.43.34

Emma Douglass recent best result over 800m 2:04.62 was at Duke Twilight Durham NC USA,    

Imogen Skelton has competed 4 times over the last month since the Oceania Championships  jumping 1.82m on two occasions in Germany and Italy
