Give It Your Best Shot and Win! at Queens Wharf Thursday 23 June
Sure, our throwers make it look easy, but did you know a shot put weighs up to 7.2kg?
With the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games kicking off at the end of July, the New Zealand Team want to give New Zealanders a ‘shot’ at shot put and be in to win some epic prizes.
At our pop-up shot put circles, you’ll get a demonstration of how it’s done before having a go yourself. You’ll also get the chance to see some of our athletes up close and personal, and chat to locally regarded throws coaches and athletes
We’re after the best shot in each city – there’s four categories for both adults and kids so there’s something for everyone – throw it the furthest and you’ll be in to win!
We’ll be touring four New Zealand cities on the following dates:
- Wellington’s Queens Wharf – Thursday 23 June – 10.00am – 2.00pm
