Athletics Wellington wishes to select a strong team for these championships.
All Athletes are reminded they must make their own individual entry to the Championships via the Athletics NZ website entry portal when Open in the New Year.

Athletics Wellington is calling for expressions of interest to have selection panel of three people for Senior Track & Field teams for 2024-2025 season.

EVENT PROGRAMMES
Full programme timetables will be available on each of the Event Calendar individual event page sites. Predominantly Athletics Wellington sanctioned meetings are held on a Saturday afternoon and on occasion mid week twilights are staged as per the calendar.
Each meeting will have a specific timetable of events published in advance on this website closer to the time of each event.
Updates and notifications will also be posted on AW Facebook.

OVERVIEW
Athletics Wellington Senior track and field meets are predominantly at Newtown Park Athletics Stadium or the Colin Pugh Sportsbowl, Masterton. On occasions Junior [Under 14] athletes will compete alongside Seniors. There is a wide range of events in other locations that may be of interest in the Lower North Island region and nationally significant events throughout New Zealand for senior athletes. Senior athletes are almost always welcome to compete in other centre meetings throughout the country if you are a registered club athlete for Athletics Wellington club.
ENTRY & PRE REGISTRATION

All Events in 2025-2026 require Pre Entry through the LINK on Event page which directs you to ROSTER Platform. Entry is required for each Meeting and the the Athletics Wellington Championships.
Specific ONLINE ENTRY will be events such as, The Agency Group 10,000m, Team Ledger Harcourts Capital Classic, The Sola Power Academy Throws Meeting. These also will have an online pre-entry system in place with links provided on their event page sites.
ELIGIBILITY and ENTRY FEES
The basic points of “eligibility” for our senior Track & Field meets are:
- Entry to the meet is open to all athletes of college-age and above
- Entry fee will be $7.00 per athlete per meet Twilight or Mini Meet and $9.00 per athlete Open Saturday meetings for those athletes who are financial members of clubs. Athletics Wellington Championship events will be $13.00/ event.
- College Athletes who are not currently a member of an affiliated club are welcome to participate but under specific conditions for some meets – email trackfield@athleticswellington.org.nz
CENTRAL ATHLETICS LEAGUE TEAMS COMPETITION
The Central Athletics League is a Regional Teams Competition for clubs held annually across three meetings prior to Christmas.
