Wellington Schools Athletes Finish Year with Honours
The recent Secondary Schools Track & Field and Road Nationals in Christchurch saw a number of Wallington athletes show promising performances which have earned then podium places, NZ Championship Team Representation and Awards and some are inline for further NZSS Team selection to compete on the Classics NZ Schools Tour in late January – early February and then next year at The Under 18 Australian Championships.
5 Athletes were named in the Championships team from Wellington, Wellington Colleges pair of Ava Sutherland, Lucy Jurke, and three athletes from St Patrick’s Silverstream Alex Hewitt, Samasoni Hewitt, and Blaine Knapman .Hutt International Boys School athlete Asher Robertson was named Junior Boys Athlete of the Meet.
