In alignment with Wellington City Council’s Policy for Newtown Park Athletics Stadium all use of Newtown Park will be accessible only with My Vaccine Pass.
EVENT INFORMATION
The event present an opportunity for children to compete in a fun and encouraging environment. You don’t need to be selected or be a top athlete, though medals are awarded for 10-14-year-olds in each event. For 7-9-year-olds, the focus is on participation.
OFFICIALS and VOLUNTEERS
Hosting the COLGATE GAMES require the local organising Committee to be supported with a large number of volunteers to act as graded officials, volunteers and event support crew [runners]

Entry Information
Entry is open to any child aged 7-14 years who is a member of an athletics club that is affiliated with Athletics New Zealand.

Parking and Public Transport to Newtown Park
Public Transport
The following bus routes stop outside the Zoo gates of Newtown Park on the corner of Daniel Street and Roy Street
Bus Route no’s 3, 23, and 29 all available from Wellington Railway station.
Parking
Parking around Newtown Park is very limited and there will limited access to the stadium except for a drop off zone at the Zoo gate end and the City end gate [Mansfield Street] . This access will be disabled and elderly only . All Parking will be best approached to find street parking surrounding the stadium. Access to the stadium can be via Russell Terrace, Mansfield Street and Daniel Street. There is a pedestrian path access off Russell Tce almost opposite Angus Ave
Additional parking will be parking available at the
1. National Hockey Stadium about 5 minutes walk up Russell Terrace beside Newtown Park: See Google Link HERE
2. Martin Luckie Park surrounding area situated across the road from the Hockey Stadium and accessed from Lavaud Street.
3. Wakefield Park and MacAlister Park on Adelaide Road are both about a 10 minute walk from the track. Wakefield Park to stadoium best route is via Lavaud St stairs off Adelaide Rd opposite Duppa St bus stop. City bus access to this point is by route #1
