College Sport Wellington Cross Country Relays well supported by School athletes
Sunshine prevailed with nice firm footing for a great afternoon for College Sport Cross Country Relays at Wakefield Park and Berhampore Golf course. 21 Schools took part in the event with almost 300 athletes running in their school colours in their teams of four. over the 2km lap
It was a close battle for line honours with Wellington College and St PatricksTown Senior Boy being split by just two seconds at the finish. Teams started by grades in a wave start which meant the event was over in less than an hour.
Grade winners were Wellington College [Sen Boys], Hutt Valley HS [Sen Girls], Wellington High [Mixed Open], Wellington Girls College [U16 Girls], St Pat’s Silverstream [U16 Boys], Scots College [Y9 Girls] and Rongotai College [Y 9 Boys.]
